Is this really the problem though? I don't feel like it is. Go back 20 years and the main event scene featured guys like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Batista, Kurt Angle, Undertaker...all in their 30s. Midcard had the likes of Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, the Dudleys, Edge and Christian...all in their 30s. Inconsistent booking and poor decision making have nothing to do with a wrestler's age. They just seem to forget about certain people on the roster sometimes, or have no idea what to do with them. Humberto Carillo, Aleister Black, Drew Gulak, Cesaro...all good examples of this.
