Objection!!Clearly legaleagle is biased in his arguments and failing to realise the precedent for such unilateral suspension of services by a webservices giant like Amazon. It gives it a basis by which they can suspend anyone who disagrees with them and they control 50% of the internet.. Facebook and Twitter are regularly used for anti white rhetoric and BLM riots..if you guys living under a rock don't see that there's a specific narrative and political agenda of these tech companies in stifling all conservative opinions then clearly you are forfeiting your right to a free State..Why is Amazon getting the right to censure free speech?Which election did they win to tell people what they can or cannot do online? Why is it hate speech when it's conservative but not when it's used by liberals?Since when did people need a tech nanny telling them what they can and cannot do..Isn't it feeling like a Orwellian world to you snowflakes??

Question: If Parler's case somehow somewhere went forward, would end user's bannable content possibly result in criminal prosecution? For, say, making terroristic threats and/or using hate speech? Or would the feds work backwards like they are now with known individuals who stormed the Capitol?

Even if AWS had a contractual right to suspend services immediately, it is still scummy not to give Parler more time to migrate servers so as to ensure that Parlor's business interests aren't hurt. Its not like Parler was dealing in child porn like Twitter watch?v=uhCqFORlaYI AWS has the option to, doesn't mean they needed to.

The deadly trap was designed for presumption of guilt by the person who encountered. Lets say the homeowners died of sudden illness or a car crash and were unable to inform their next of kin of the trap? The executor/agent of the owners could innocently open the door to their own undeserved peril. That outcome is not warranted by the innocent victim.

Maybe they could have tied their app to a dns relative path or services and not Amazon's. Then the domain could be relocated, but hopefully some one else could not have grabbed it. Or maybe a 3rd party IP pointer. It probably is technically possible to serve a revised app and if you had the data files you could get it up pretty fast, but it may take a lot of manipulation if it relied on a API of some sort that was running on AWS. Then you have the problem of serving a possibly illegal public media. Oh I guess they did that already.

I personally wouldn't feel so unsettled by this if Twitter didn't have similar breaches of contract such as the "Assassinate Trump" hashtag and similar. Amazon and Twitter don't seem to have a problem with seemingly the same thing going the other way. That said, if people don't have to do things that actively support the activity of a person of a protected characteristic because they disagree with it on the grounds of a protected characteristic, I find it hard to see why someone or a company can't do the same thing when there is no protected characteristic in play.

American policy is focusing in the wrong place to encourage electric cars. Competition will create lower prices. Rather than subsidising the purchase of cars with tax credits we should be 1. Requiring all manufactures to use the same charge plug. 2. Build infrastructure by creating charging stations. Particularly in some remote areas to allow someone with an electric car with a 200 mile range to actually drive cross country and charge along the way. Building more charge stations will make people less afraid of buying an electric car and encourage more competition to build them.

they probably could have yeah... they have no obligation to host anyone - but they also have no obligation to act on another parties breach of contract or terms of service - contracts are not laws - the state has no choice in enforcing its laws (or is not supposed to have one) - but with contracts... if neither party claims a breach of contract... no one will arbitrate it and the contract continues to stand in the end - they probably acted on this because being associated with it could be extremely damaging to their reputation and as a result their business but in the end its their call who they host and who gets terminated... at least as long as thats how their contracts are written and signed

Objection. Trump didn't falsfy it. I live in the Florida Panhandle and so we were watching what Dorian was doing and the weather officials also said that at first. So Trump was only reporting on what was believed at the time. We thought it was headed this way. I didn't watch Trump's report so I didn't know he said this I was watching the Weather Channel like I do everytime a hurricane is possibly headed this way and they were saying the samething at the time. In the beginning all forcasts are going to be wrong. For example they said Katrina was going to hit the Florida Panhandle and we made reservations to go to Biloxi. The next day they moved the forcast west. Every two or three weeks last year we were threatened by a hurricane. Some of the projected paths had us in the cone at first. In some cases we stayed in the cone and some cases the the cone was moved and we were no longer in it.
