I think I know how to test the molasses thing... So you get a gigantic tank, which will be the most expensive part. Then you fill it up with water and then you add a gelling agent until it has the same properties as molasses. So you'll need a pump, a lake the water doesn't need to be clean really, and then add something like alginate or agar or something to gel it up to be similar to molasses. Should cost a lot less, but it's still going to need a pretty huge budget.

I'm not a crafter like Adam, but as I see him put his new support in around 22:30, I wonder if he isn't shooting himself in the foot with this modification becayse these are precision tools. Is having such a snug amount of constant pressure really desirable here given that this pressure is applied to the sensitive measuring mechanic? Especially since wood can end up warping and changing size over time due to atmospheric conditions. The old box might be spacy and not particularly 'solid', but if the pressure point for the tools is on the cast-iron back away from the mechanic precision, that might well be intentional. Obviously the tools can do with more snugness in case of traveling and other bumpy encounters, but I'm not sure this contact pressure should be on the mechanical part at all. Edit: At 28:30 he starts pondering on this himself. Nevermind my comment; I assume he went with correct choice from here!

In the film clip, when Indie is running away, and the darts are shooting at him, it looks like they're being shot from both sides of room. My friend and slowed the whole scene down, and we both see darts coming from both sides. When you, and Jamie tested it, only one side fired darts. My question is, if both sides fired darts at different times, would Indie have been hit? I just rewatched that episode, and it's always bugged me that only one side fired darts. For several years I have been dealing with high-speed cameras (mainly for testing in research laboratories) and each time I can't wait to see the final recording, no matter if it's a crash test, explosion or fluid mechanics.
