Jeff Dun-ham, I bought one of these quality chests Way Back about 1978 or so. Paid maybe $300-350 for it and it's still like new. I used to be an automotive machinist and I had all of my machinists tools in there. I don't use it anymore, I've got it in a very good box with moisture proof packing around it to protect it. I really liked this piece of Fine quality Craftmanship, it's way better than any Chinese knock off they build today. "What was made in the good ol' US of A back then was quality!" Like I say; "cars made back in the early days were about 80-90% METAL and the GARBAGE cars made today are 80-90% PLASTIC. THAT'S WHY YOU SEE BUMPERS, FENDERS AND ALL KINDS OF PLASTIC SHIT ALONG THE FREEWAY AND STREETS!" TRY TO MODIFY A CAR MADE TODAY, YOU CAN'T.

Yeah, it is a guy thing. We all cherish our tools, and they deserve a good tool chest. I have one of the original metal chests built in Dayton Ohio also. Has the same 2 pins and it holds the door down. It was my Uncle's who survived WWII, but not driving on the road. He gave it to my Dad, and he gave it to me. That is why you would buy a quality tool chest. It is the greatest conversational piece as well as being practical. Thanks Jeff.

Jeff, I really appreciate your time and effort that you put into all of your business dealings, with your fans and with your inner circle of craftsman and friends and family. I can see by this video that you are that type of person who just enjoys the Craft and the people who make your craft possible, because of course without people like these tool makers, and tool cabinet builders, your Craftsmanship would be nearly impossible. I think it's amazing how you take the time to present us with the true innervation of your business dealings, Life and how everything works to create your life. I really appreciate you taking care to show how it all fits together to create the happiness that you seem to have found in you life; hopefully this will roll over into the mindset of another. You know it's very true, that the biggest and most amazing thing is that just one person says , * you know, I was listening to Jeff Dunham, and I was impressed with his life and the way he does things and it made me want to fashion my life in that same way * , they say that's the most amazing form of Flattery !!! Thanks for the invite into your head and ideals, it's truly an appreciated and amazing experience.

Well lets see, looks like behind Walter we have a Sony Reel to Reel deck, maybe a quadraphonic receiver and an 8-track player. Now that I have another look, that looks like an Akai GX-280D-SS 4-channel and a Sansui receiver. Is the Akai sitting on an Empire speaker? I used to do service in a HIFi shop, so I know equipment.

I have done what I do since it was as after school High School job. I have now done it for the last 47 years. I too Love what I do and don't see myself doing anything else. My hardest thing in life is when my daughter died at birth with a heart defect and then tried to adopt another child and she was born with the same heart defect and eventually she also died, And the only thing that got me though was my work and my faith. I learned never take yourself serious and always remain in the faith. May I say I have been watching you since before Carson and keep up the good work.

at 4:16????? too much money.. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT??? .. no way.. i have well over $60,000 into my tools, i will add, three locations, three sets.. computer chip manufacturing.. wow, Gerstner is the best.. i needed to use Kennedy for the powder paint that does not sluff particles.. i still ended up with a couple of the Gerstner boxes, the 7 drawer just like yours, for my gun smith work.. AND when the wife built her own AR, I bought her a separate set for gun work.. what's good for the goose is good for the gander..

Here's a little bit of trivia. The smaller center drawer in the middle top of the tool chest is not actually for tools. It is the place where the machinist would store his hardcopy of the Machinist's Handbook. A lot of the tools they used were quite expensive and needed a place where they could be stored safely and hopefully from theft. The felt kept them from sliding around and getting scratched up. A lot of tools would also be put in leather tool rolls or wrapped in fine cloth to help protect them from knocking into each other when in the same drawer. Some tools when purchased came in padded boxes and the tool would be kept in the box inside the drawer.
MrGunsDonovan پیش 13 ساعت
I used to sell machinist tools when I was in college. Gerstner & Sons boxes sold themselves, not for everyone though. Great video Jeff, keep them coming. If you go to any home improvement store, all the great hand tools of the past are now made in China. There are long term problems with that, that none of these companies are considering.
