last of us 2 doesn't deserve to be on this high on the light, it's top of its game it just didn't live up to the expectations, the story was kinda trash but every scene is shot perfectly

oh my god hyperscape.... so much potential wasted. the movement felt so weird. maybe im just used to apex which has really good movement, but hyperscape... the slide was more of a gimmick than a core mechanic. it didn't do much to facilitate movement. instead of having it keep going as long as the character had enough momentum, it was a timed slide. didn't feel right. weapons were ALL over the place. most of them being ray trace hit scans and only a few being projectile, it was ripe for abuse. apex has ONE hit scan sniper and it has a charge up period. the environment also didn't help with the movement. it wanted to be an arena shooter type BR, but spaces were either too wide open or too cramped with little space to move around. go up into the roofs, headshot from a hitscan sniper from across the map, go inside, get mashed up in as tiny room along with 10 people with no sense of social distancing. it was too chaotic and not very fun. the one thing i did like was the zone decay instead of the generic circle and the map size adjusting to the number of players in the lobby. reminded me of the old BR movies. and the fact after dying you could still be a ghost and scout ahead for your team

I guess to add to Joe's thoughts on why TLOU2 deserves to be on this list is the fact that if you beat it... you weren't really going around recommending it to your friends like you did for TLOU1. If anything you keep warning them and tell them to taper expectations.

It was actually really depressing to see Crucible slowly dwindle. I loved Crucible, and you can tell the devs were very passionate about the game, and were very transparent about their updates. I really wish this was released as an Early Access title, or told us it was still in its beta state on release, and then maybe it couldn't have lost its credibility for posing this game as "V1.0"
