Though I have empathy for the homeless, Echo Park is not a camp ground and should not be. This is my home, always has been--since the 70's. Time to reclaim the Park and make it beautiful again for all to enjoy. The homeless situation at the Park has gone on far too long.

Homelessness is not a right. It’s a burden on others. It’s a sad occurrence when it’s unintentional and unwanted but these people have become activists. They’re neither down nor out. They’re consuming resources in the most inefficient way possible and they don’t pay for them. It’s obvious that their majority is of functioning mind and working bodies but they choose to burden as opposed to contribute. We need to go back to a voting system where actual contributors of society get to decide what the contributions are used for without non-contributors saying “give it to me” while I work for it.
